“Redemption Song” by Hope Players

A widow returns as a stranger to her homeland. Where will she find the hope to help her sing again? Fleeing famine in her home town of Bethlehem, Naomi settles with her family in the neighbouring country of Moab. However, when her husband and two sons die, she decides to return home. With her faith in God shaken, she finds herself a stranger in her homeland. Thus begins the struggle to find her place in society, and ultimately to find the hope that will help her sing again.

Based on the Biblical book of Ruth, this play deals with the timeless themes of faith, doubt, despair, hope and redemption.
