The Cambridge Chronicle and University Journal was a weekly newspaper published in Cambridge from 1762 to 1934. Its village news was mainly supplied by a local correspondent from each village, in Milton’s case usually a farmer or landowner, so these news items represent eye witness accounts of what was going on in each village.

This book, edited by Bob Tonks and published by Milton Contact, contains news items related to Milton for the period 1777 to 1901 and includes original pictures of the village as well as some maps from the time.
