South Cambridgeshire District Council (SCDC) has commissioned Waste Watch (an environmental charity) to conduct door-to-door environmental education work in selected areas of Milton for one month starting this Tuesday (13/10).
These “doorsteppers” will carry identification and also an authorisation letter from the District Council along with a contact number if you want to confirm that the doorstepper is genuine.
The doorsteppers will be asking you questions to gauge your level of recycling behaviour and knowledge, and also identify any barriers you may face. The doorsteppers will provide tailored information with the aim of helping you to begin to recycle or to recycle more. They will be attempting to talk to all villagers in the selected areas and deliver a positive message which will include congratulating you if you currently recycling and providing encouragement to ‘keep it up’.
