The Milton Park & Ride site opened in November 2008 with 500 car parking spaces. Original plans for the site provided for an expansion to 1,000 spaces which would be constructed on a phased basis depending on when funding would become available.

The second phase for an additional 250 spaces has now been given the go ahead and works are due to start on 22nd September. It is hoped that some of the spaces will be released in time for Christmas with the remaining amount fully operational early in 2010.
