This year’s exciting recycling open day will be held at Donarbon’s waste management park, Waterbeach on Saturday (6/6) from 10am to 4pm. This is where our waste goes for re-cycling.

The day will provide everyone with the opportunity to find out more about waste and recycling in Cambridgeshire including:

• The new Mechanical Biological Treatment (MBT) that will revolutionise the treatment and recycling of Cambridgeshire’s waste.
• The in-vessel composting system that turns the contents of the green bin into soil improving compost.
• Free compost will be available (bring sacks and a spade)
• Guided site tours by minibus
• Information on recycling and waste management, including a display from South Cambridgeshire District Council, other local councils, community and environmental groups and recycling companies
