Support the Children’s Hospice

… by taking part in a triathon! It’s the start of a new year, and many of us will have made a resolution to get fit and healthy in 2009. It’s all too easy to forget these good intentions once the holidays are over, but this year why not set yourself a challenge – and help raise money for your local Children’s Hospice at the same time!

The London Triathlon takes place on 1st & 2nd August 2009. It is the largest triathlon in the world with around 13,000 participants. The event consists of three parts – a swim, a bike ride and a run, of various distances. It’s also possible to take part as a team and split the three parts amongst three team members. And you don’t have to be a pro – each year around 50% of those taking part have never done a Triathlon before!

East Anglian Children Hospices (EACH) who run the hospice in Milton has just 10 guaranteed places available. If you choose to compete for us we’ll be there every step of the way (except on the day itself!), with advice on fund raising, training tips, a t-shirt for you to wear when training and an opportunity to visit one of our hospices and meet other members of the EACH team. The money you raise will help to provide care and support for life-threatened children and their families throughout East Anglia and North Essex.

If you would like to take on this fantastic challenge and raise money for an extremely worthwhile cause, please contact Beccy Turner on 205198 or email beccy.turner@each.org.uk
