This year Impington Village College have been supporting a local campaign called Plug into Dance which is all about getting more people of all ages and abilities dancing for health reasons as well as because it’s creative, social and fun. The campaign is to culminate in a festival of dance across the Cottenham and Impington area, which includes Milton, in February 2009. The key aim is to offer something for all ages, all abilities and all backgrounds.

They are planning a residency project at IVC with a world-class dance company, and there are other activities planned in the area including a Tea Dance and a Salsa Dance Party. As part of the festival programme they would like to see more community led activities. So if you are part of a local club or organisation would you like to host a dance event in February as part of the festival or are you already running dance activities that they could promote in the festival programme?
