There is another mailing list for Milton which I suspect a lot of subscribers to milton-news will also want to be on. That’s the ecops.milton list. E-cops is a service run by the local police that lets them keep in touch with the community.
For example here in Milton the most recent emails were about vehicle crime in Fox’s Close and Pearson Close (03/09) and a survey by the Cambridgeshire Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships on crime and disorder in our village (08/09).
I made a conscious decision from the start not to echo postings for e-cops to milton-news as I think they need encouraging and an obvious measure of the list’s success is the number of subscribers. If I subscribe and then tell you via milton-news they would think they had one subscriber rather than 190+.
