AWA Response

Jim Daniels, the parish council clerk, has had a response to his complaint to Anglian Water. It reads as follows:

I apologise for the nuisance caused by the odour from the Cambridge Sewage Treatment Works.

I’m also sorry to hear that one of the residents was disappointed with the response they received when contacting our helpline. Most of our customer contact is over the telephone and our Customer Service staff are specially trained to handle a wide range of enquiries efficiently. I regret that on this occasion the resident did not receive the high standard of service expected of us.

Our local wastewater team confirm that they are currently experiencing operational issues on the site but are working hard to improve the situation as soon as possible.
